The Amazing Zebra Finch

Zebra finches are also sometimes called House finches. Zebra finches are small, perky, hardy, quiet and unique birds. They are interesting pets and very sociable, they speaking with chirps and peeps instead of words, with voices that sound like a toy whistle. Zebra finches prefer to be kept in a group rather than as a pair or single.

Zebra finches are approximately 5 inches long. Males and females are different in color; males have orange-brownish cheek patches and have much more colorings than the female.

We feed our Zebra finches a quality finch seed mixture; we offer them spray millet, leafy greens and egg food.

LOVEBIRDS

Our lovebirds for sale are gorgeous birds and are fun to have as pets and simply beautiful to view. The next few paragraphs will tell you a little more about each type of lovebird for sale. Males and females look just alike. However, we recommend that you keep them in groups of two or more birds because they are a very social bird. Masked lovebirds and Fischer can be kept together, but do not mix them with the Peach Faced.

PEACH-FACED LOVEBIRDS

Peach faced lovebirds are approximately 6-7 inches long. Normal Peach faced birds are pictured at left. They are bright green, with forehead, cheeks, chin, throat & upper chest area soft pinkish-red, rump & uppertail bright light blue. There are many different color variations of Peachface lovebirds; Dutch Blue, Cinnamon, Olives, Pieds, Lutinos & Cremos just to name a few.
BLUE MASKED LOVEBIRDS

Blue Masked lovebirds are approximately 6 inches long. Blue Masked lovebirds are pictured at left. They have blue body with white upper chest and ring around the neck, with black forehead, cheeks, chin, and throat. They also have a white ring around their eye and a bone colored bill.
BLACK MASKED LOVEBIRDS

Black Masked lovebirds are approximately 6 inches long. Black Masked lovebirds are pictured at left. They have green body with yellow upper chest and ring around the neck, with black forehead, cheeks, chin, and throat. They also have a white ring around their eye and a red colored bill.

PARAKEETS


THE PARAKEET IS ONE OF THE OLDEST ESTABLISHED POPULAR PET BIRDS. THEY ARE VERY EASY TO MANAGE, GOOD NATURED, AND COMPANIONABLE. THEY ARE PARTICULARLY WELL LIKED BY KIDS, YOUNG AND OLD ALIKE. MANY PEOPLE CALL THE PARAKEET THE CLOWN OF THE PARROT FAMILY, AS THEY ARE VERY ACTIVE AND ACROBATIC CAGE BIRDS. WE HAVE KNOWN OF SEVERAL THAT HAVE BEEN TAUGHT TO TALK.

ORIGINALLY, PARAKEETS CAME FROM AUSTRALIA. IN THE WILD, THEY LIVE IN NOMADIC FLOCKS THAT SEARCH FOR SEEDING GRASSES AND OTHER VEGETATION. THE WILD BUDGERIGAR OR PARAKEET IS ALWAYS GREEN IN COLOR.
